CONEX KOREA, ROBOWORLD signed MOU for co-host

 

- It will show the present and future vision of of AI Convergence, Digital Transformation

- It will be the competition place of the exhibits which eco-friendly, digital conversion technology is applied

-It will open on Sunday to provide convenience of visiting to the visitors from the equipment rental business

 


The 12th Korea International Construction Equipment Exhibition (CONEX KOREA 2024) will be held at KINTEX Exhibition Hall from October 24 (Thursday) to 27 (Sunday) in 2024. The Korea Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association (KOCEMA/Chairman Choi Chul-gon), the organizer, recently confirmed the schedule for the successful hosting of the nation's largest comprehensive construction Equipment exhibition and launched a full-fledged promotion and marketing preparation system to recruit participants.

 

The Korea International Construction Equipment Exhibition, which was first held in 1996, is regarded as a representative event that has inspired Korea to become the world's sixth-largest manufacturer by comparing domestic and foreign construction Equipment products.

 

The Korea International Construction Equipment Exhibition, which will mark its 12th anniversary next year, is expected to show the present and future of the construction Equipment industry, which provides eco-friendly and advanced construction technology solutions that sustain the coexistence of mankind and the environment. In particular, it is expected that various eco-friendly technologies that will contribute to early realization of carbon neutrality in Korea and new products and services with digital convergence technologies such as AI, IoT, and big data will be introduced at next year's exhibition.

  

The Korea International Construction Equipment Exhibition which has been jointly held to create synergy between related industries will be held with at with 2024 ROBOWORLD, an exhibition representing the domestic robot industry, next year. To this end, the KOCEMA and the Korea Robot Industry Association (KAR/Chairman Kang Chul-ho), the organizer of ROBOWORLD, finalized the co-hosting (proposal) in June this year, starting with working-level discussions in the first half of last year.

Choi Young-soo said at the meeting, "We will accomplish the expansion of the exhibition by co-hosting the exhibitions, providing business opportunities that have never been experienced before to exhibitors in both industries leading AI convergence and digital innovation."

 

In fact, the scale of exhibition hall that the two exhibitions will use is the entire hall of KINTEX 1 exhibition hall 1 to 5 (53,541), and the partition between the two exhibitions is removed, allowing exhibitors and visitors to move freely and build the business network. An official from KOCEMA said, "The strategy and goal of co-hosting is to show the present and future of technology convergence between two industries based on autonomous, unmanned, AI, and IoT."

 

 

Meanwhile, the organizer will also open Sunday for the visitors from equipment rental business field. Rental business workers, who have been unable to attend exhibitions on weekdays and Saturday during the peak construction season, will be able to visit the exhibition more comfortably as the opportunity to visit has been expanded to holidays, and exhibitors are expected to have more opportunities to face real users.

 

Various events will also be held at the next edition for visitors. A prize event will be held to provide prizes such as excavators, forklifts, and attachments provided to the visitors from the filed of rental, maintenance, operators, and professional construction industry. The outdoor demonstration event, which was held at the outdoor space, will be moved indoors according to structural change of KINTEX. Demonstrations of the work of electric power excavators and various attachments will show the competitiveness of electric excavators, which are gaining interest in the market due to the launch of products by large domestic companies, will be directly introduced on the spot, drawing keen attention from excavator operators.

 

Meanwhile, the overseas buyers invitation session, which was replaced by online session due to COVID-19 at the last exhibition, will be converted back into an offline event. In collaboration with KOTRA, the organizer will discover promising overseas buyers and support aviation and accommodation to arrange 1:1 matching business meeting with participating companies. The organizer will arrange the invitation countries in consideration of market demand and strategic importance, and will confirm the list of 50 overseas companies by increasing the proportion of invitations from Poland, which is drawing attention as a reconstruction project issue in Ukraine, and countries of the Middle East, which is rapidly increasing due to the "second Middle East boom."

 

Recruitment of exhibitors for the 12th Korea International Construction Equipment Exhibition will be held online through the exhibition's website from September 1 this year. In order to expand the choice of the exhibitors, the booth device will operate premium A and B shell-scheme booths in addition to the existing basic shell-scheme booths to provide a system that can create an I custom booth device effect at low cost.
